About The Hotel

The south coast of Dublin is an upmarket suburban area on the DART line with very pretty villages stretching out from Sandymount, through Blackrock, Monkstown, the port town of Dun Laoghaire, and on to Dalkey and Killiney. Known as Dublin’s Riviera, the area is awash with clusters of restaurants, pubs and interesting galleries and boutiques. It is a perfect base, with lots to explore, and the DART whisks you into central Dublin in 10/20 minutes.

Looking for that perfect little pied a terre hideaway for a stay in Dublin? Well Drummond Mews is it. Located in Dublin’s exclusive suburb of Monkstown, close to the sea, yacht clubs, the fashionable restaurants of Monkstown, Blackrock, Dun Laoire and Dalkey, Drummond Mews is the original coach house mews to a large Victorian house. It is not a shiny modern apartment, more quirky hideaway for independent minded people who like to do their own thing and appreciate mews houses and old buildings. It has the advantage of being totally independent and secluded, with its own private high-walled secure drive in courtyard, where one can dine al fresco, take the sun, or just sit and hear the birds sing. Close too to many Golf Clubs it is also the perfect golfer’s hideaway. The bedroom is simply but comfortably furnished and decorated with Farrow & Ball colours, bathroom en suite (wash-basin, w.c. and bath – no shower).

Downstairs has a large Mediterranean tiled living cum dining area with small, but well fitted, new galley kitchen, fully equipped with microwave, washer-dryer, and everything you might require to cook up a banquet. There is also satellite T.V. and all bed linen and towels are supplied free of charge.

Dublin Tourism 3 Star graded. 10 minutes walk to the DART station, which whisks you into central Dublin in 15 minutes. The 46A bus also runs from the top of the road serving U.C.D and the city centre. Drummond Mews is also very convenient for the Sandyford/Stillorgan Industrial Estate for people on temporary assignments to Dublin and has easy access to the M50.
