About The Hotel

Right in the heart of Dublin, just twenty minutes from Dublin Airport, is the Gibson Hotel which is the perfect place for a happening city break. It is located right beside Ireland’s biggest concert venue, the 3Arena and with the LUAS stopping just outside the door every few minutes, the Gibson has fantastic access to all the shopping and activities that the city centre has to offer. Very modern in its design, the exterior of the Gibson is all metal and glasswork  with various modern twists resulting in a very cool hotel.

Inside, The Gibson doesn’t disappoint, with its bright, airy and open plan layout, and stunning city views. The atmosphere is relaxed and refreshing with enormously high ceilings and a modern and spacious lobby. Although we live of course in Dublin, we were attending a concert in the O2 and decided to make a night of it by staying at the Gibson. Upon arrival, I checked into a superior room which featured a beautiful view over Dublin City. The room itself was very attractive in design with lots of soothing cream colours, not to mention the atmospheric under-bed lighting. The facilities of the room were very good as well, with a modern flatscreen on the wall, air conditioning, high speed wifi and even a large room-safe designed for laptops (which I was very pleased to see). If you desire an even higher quality living space, they have executive rooms overlooking the 3Arena, Junior suites that are extremely spacious and come with king size beds and great in-room sound systems, or even their Gibson Penthouse Suite which is certain to please any raucous rock star or demanding diva and features its own private terraced balcony.

For active types they have a wonderful modern gym to keep you busy and fit or, if your like me, you’ll prefer their relaxation area which is a great spot to let the stress of everyday life melt away as you luxuriate in one of their Japanese copper baths, on the terrace area, as you look out over the Dublin Wicklow Mountains. Or if you prefer to sweat the stress away they have an excellent sauna and steam room also.

When it comes to food & drink, The Gibson has you covered with its vast Hemidemisemiquaver bar on the third floor, which is a cool chilled out spot with balconies and of course those amazing views, to grab a cocktail or a bite to eat from a really great and inventive bar menu with lots of Asian twists. They also have music in the bar on Friday evenings.  If you want to dine in a more formal way there is also the Coda restaurant which now offers a very good menu and something for everyone.

Get to the Gibson soon!
