About The Hotel

Delphi Mountain Resort is a really very special place. It offers those who want to push themselves to the limit with Adventure sports to do so, whilst those who wish to enjoy the tranquility and revitalisation of one of Ireland’s top Spas can also do so. Located in the shadow of snow capped Mweelrea, the highest mountain in the West of Ireland, and by the stunning Killary Fjord, this place is truly unique. Fresh clear unpolluted air, magical scenery, and crystal clear water await the visitor.

Delphi was designed to blend harmoniously with the wood and rocks of the surrounding landscape. Built in local stone and wood with large bay windows enveloping the dramatic beauty, this place is a stunner. Delphi was taken over last year and re-launched by energetic artistic husband and wife team Aileen and Rory Concannon who have plouged enormous vibrance and zest into it. Aileen and Rory have travelled widely all over the world and have brought home with them an extensive knowledge and enthusiasm to provide an exilerating experience for those who want a break and enjoyment from their stressful busy working lives.

Accommodation ranges from wow factor two bedroomed suites with living rooms and large wooden balconies, to split level junior suites, to large double rooms. All rooms have deep shag pile carpets, natural wooden floors and large couches. For adventure and youth groups, hostel style dorms are available.

The rooms are sans television – but with the many activities on offer here you’ll hardly get a chance to miss it – and you will sleep like a babe. Delphi’s proximity to the beach means that surfing, sailing, kayaking are right on tap and even more vigorous exercise can be had from climbing the nearby mountains, hiking and abseiling. Delphi Escape Spa is fabulous. Fancy a seaweed bath to detox or just unwind? The seaweed is hand picked locally and is wonderful for your skin. All organic products are used in the Thermal Suite and Relaxation room. Do try the pure peppermint polish exfoliation scrub! Or just slip into the jazzuci.

Head Chef Gerard Reilly is there to treat your palate at the end of the day with “wholesome , in season, scrumptious healing food”. Gerard is widely experienced having worked in some of the world’s finest restaurants, including Five Flies in South Africa. More recently he was at The G in Galway. There is an excellent wine list and a snug wine bar. Try the seafood or organic Connemara lamb, you are really in for a treat. Delphi is also a great place for corporate “team building”. Adventure breaks and interactive group cooking classes are also available.

They have captured something very special at Delphi……go find out for yourself.
