About The Restaurant

The Marble City Bar is one of the best known and most atmospheric in Kilkenny. It is in fact one of the oldest bars in the country and retains its charms and many original features throughout. It belongs to the Langton family of the Langton House Hotel and who have always enjoyed a tremendous reputation for food and have been the winners of many awards over the years. The Marble City Bar is a place where locals go to meet their friends and where you will see and meet the best of Kilkenny. Food is served from 9 a.m. in the morning right through the day and until 10 p.m. at night - now you can't ask more than that! They specialise in local and seasonal produce and it is produced with flair and panache along with being good comfort food. You will be surrounded by the wafting aromas of homemade breads and piping hot coffee - not to mention plenty of what is also good for you.

The most recent addition to The Marble City Bar downstairs is The Marble City Tearooms, which has indoor and outdoor seating areas, and where you can also enjoy an extensive menu, and delicious cakes and goodies.
