Restaurant Review - Fitzers Bistro

When technology is working it’s great, but when it’s not, it can be a real bummer. With restaurants nowadays, we rarely get the chance to enunciate ‘have you a table’ to another human, having been well trained into taking out our smartphones, selecting our slot, handing over our credit card details and turning up on time. In fairness, it usually works just fine, but there’s always the exception….and the exception always seems to happen to me!
Having booked a table for lunch at the new Fitzers Bistro on Exchequer Street, which has replaced the longstanding Green Hen, all appeared well as I spotted a smartly-attired young waiter outside looking up and down the street. However, as I got there, he went inside and closed the door. Seeing me, he opened it slightly.
