Reviews on the Road - The Rebel County To The Kingdom

Wednesday 20 August 2025
Where better to kick off a culinary coastal crusade than Kinsale, the gourmet capital of Ireland, and starting point of the Wild Atlantic Way. When it comes to restaurants, cafes and bars, you’re spoiled for choice at all price levels.
If it’s a Michelin experience you’re after, be it a Star, Bib or Guide listed, there’s the one-star Bastion with tasting menus at €80/€150, the Bibbed Saint Francis Provisions on Short Quay, a deliciously dinky spot with an outdoor space, while the fab Michelin-listed Rare, located in the Blue Haven Hotel, has a glorious tasting menu at €125.
