Restaurant Review - Comet

When chefs of note decide to go it alone and establish their own restaurant, it can feel a bit like Le Mans. There’s anticipation in the air, with years of training to arrive at this moment. The crowd assemble, the star racing driver joins the field, engines are revving, the flag goes up and they’re off.
Well, last week the flag went up for what is probably the hottest opening of this summer so far as star chef Kevin O’Donnell entered the fray, along with his wife Laura Chabal, with their new Comet restaurant on a discreetly tucked laneway within what is known as Dublin Golden Mile – St Stephen’s Green and environs.
