Restaurant Review - Ómós

It was with slightly mixed feelings that I set off to visit the new Ómós Guesthouse and Restaurant in Abbeyleix, Co Laois. Arguably the hottest opening of the year, after a five year lead-in there was definitely excitement and anticipation, but also a sense of nostalgia from visiting the town as a young child.
On top of that, I was feeling slightly grumpy about the prices of the rooms at this ‘guesthouse’, having had to book one in order to dine here at the earliest opportunity, as the restaurant was not yet taking bookings from non-residents.
