Unless it’s a very special occasion or a rare chance to experience the high-priced talents of a highly starred chef, where it’s really all about plate gazing and getting pics ‘for the ‘Gram’, then I think most of us prefer a restaurant that falls broadly into the brasserie or bistro category, whatever cuisine is served. A place with an atmosphere and buzz, where we can meet with friends, laugh out loud, and where we know we’ll be assured of good food.
