Description

The Brasserie Restaurant is the more casual dining option at the fab Europe Hotel & Resort. Opening from 11am-11pm daily, It’s bright and summery and the perfect place for a meal with friends or a few cocktails. It also offers a beautiful terrace for al fresco dining in the summer months.

At lunchtime they do "Small Snacks" such as scampi with rocket leaves and a lemon and cracked pepper mayonnaise or Burratta cheese with mixed leaves, vine cherry tomato and truffle dressing. They also do sambos ranging from the traditional BLT to a spiced red falafel wrap. Main courses will include casual dishes such as the old favourite Fish 'n Chips – beer battered fillets of cod with home cut chips and tartare sauce or classic Beef Stroganoff. Their crab and prawn orzo pasta is divine, as is their roast aubergine and courgette torte.

In the evenings, the Brasserie menu has really lovely up-market starters such as a tian of smoked salmon and crab salad with avocado mousse and apple as well as Kerry lamb croquette with Sneem black pudding, baby turnip and red pepper jam. A black pudding scotch egg is with burnt apple puree and baby apples, while pan-seared foie gras comes with a spiced tomato chutney, rocket and toasted brioche.

Mains are reasonably priced and might include barbary duck fillet with a port jus as well as sole on the bone and vegan and vegetarian options. Turbot is simply sauteed and served on greens with creamed potatoes, whilst seared Tiger Prawns are served with stir-fried vegetables and basmati rice.

One of The Brasserie's main features are their cracking steaks, flame-cooked in front of you on an open grill - delicious fillets, succulent sirloins and eye catching rib-eyes served with all the trimmings.

If you have a sweet tooth, then don’t miss out on desserts, such as a brioche bread & butter pudding with chocolate and raisin, custard and caramel ice-cream; or a dark chocolate and pistachio brownie with raspberry sorbet; or even the simple but delicious option of a coffee and donut with vanilla ice-cream.

Next time you’re down south, book a table. You don’t want to miss it.
