About The Hotel
The owners of Hotel Isaacs showed great foresight in 1979 when they first opened up their Isaacs Hostel in the city centre, for this was not even on the cusp of the Celtic Tiger boom. They later opened Hotel Isaacs, which provides very good value hotel accommodation, right in the heart of the City, and it was so successful it just grew and grew. Now overlooking a smart new plaza, there is a superb new sculpture called ‘Scathan’ meaning ‘mirror’ which reflects the sky, the void and the soul, which was created by Robert McColgan. Close to the Financial Services Centre, the Central Bus Station, the DART, the LUAS, Hotel Isaacs is perfect for brilliant value city breaks. A short walk brings you to Trinity College, O’Connell Street, and Dublin Castle. There are now 104 bedrooms and all are extremely well furnished and very comfortable. They have TV, tea and coffee making facilities, trouser press, iron and board, safe, room service, air conditioning in some, and the now de rigueur facility of WIFI Internet access, which is just brilliant. There is also a new Fitness Room with treadmills, exercise bike, weight machines; exercise mats et al so you can work off those pounds you put on while dining.
Ever on the upward move, The Isaacs Group also have No 2 Beresford Place, a wonderful Gandon designed Georgian House, overlooking the splendid Custom House. There are fifteen beautiful rooms in this glorious building which serves, in conjunction with No. 1 Beresford Place, their meeting and conference centre, as their executive accommodation and conference wing. No 2 has its own private entrance, plus a fully manned reception desk, and an excellent lounge waiting area with complimentary tea and coffee all day. This magnificent house can also be rented for private and corporate parties and they will provide a delicious buffet menu which you can tailor to suit your own pocket and requirements.
Originally a wine warehouse, Hotel Isaac’s light hearted and fun Restaurant Il Vignardo, with courtyard garden, is located in a beautiful Italianate room with marbled columns and curved vaulted style ceilings, doing excellent Italian food - pastas, pizzas, chicken and beef dishes and even lobster. They have a great early bird a la carte at €9.90 for any pizza or pasta dish. Try the Amatriciana with smoked bacon, onions, chili and tomato – yum. Light lunches with specialty coffees and wines are also served in their Le Monde Café Bar You can read more about the food in the Restaurant section of the website under Il Vignardo.
There are limited private parking spaces, which must be pre-booked. Check the website for Internet Specials.
