About The Restaurant

Larry & Nora’s Public House & Garden in Navan is the perfect haven to while away the hours, whether it’s in their plush modern bar-room or the pretty and spacious outdoor dining space, with high quality delightfully accessible food, a vibrant assortment of drinks and a killer cocktail list.

Owned by Alan Clancy of the Nolaclan Group who also own, amongst others, the uber smart House in Dublin, Belfast and Limerick, along with No. 37 Dawson Street. Alan knows how people want to socialise and enjoy themselves and he put a lot of attention and detail into Larry & Nora's which he named after his parents.

From their dinner menu, small plates at Larry & Nora’s include the likes of chilli & garlic prawns pil pil with crusty bread; hot n’ crispy chicken wings with their secret hot sauce, Cashel blue dip and crisp celery sticks; as well as crispy fish tacos of tempura cod, pico de gallo and salsa. Their beef sliders come as a trio with cheddar cheese and chipotle slaw; while a potting shed salad of baby gem, co, chicken fillet, toasted pumpkin seeds, prosciutto, pecorino shavings and a lemon & thyme dressing, sound zesty and fresh.

For the mains, they do great beer battered hake with home cut chips, pea puree, tartare sauce and a lemon wedge; not to mention a delicious slow-cooked lamb tagine dish with citrus scented giant couscous and raita. The carnivores are kept happy with tasty offerings like a chargrilled 10oz Moy Valley striploin steak with vine ripened cherry tomatoes, caramelised onion and fries with a choice of garlic butter or pepper sauce; not to mention their fab chargrilled bun burgers containing two 40z Robinson’s beef patties, cheddar cheese, smoky bacon, red onion, beef tomato and a side of fries. Their catch of the day is always top notch and for the veggies out there they do a great roast vegetable stack of blackened sweetcorn fritter, grilled halloumi, roast butternut, sweet potato, charred red peppers, Portobello mushroom, port relish and basil feta.

For dessert, dig into a warm sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce and Bourbon vanilla ice-cream; or a wholesome slice of Nora’s apple pie. For maximum decadence, gorge yourself on a chocolate sphere of salted caramel ice cream, peanut butter mousse, cocoa candied peanuts & bitter chocolate sauce.

On weekends, Larry and Nora’s is open throughout the day and has a wonderful breakfast and brunch menu, ranging from full Irish breakfasts, buttermilk hotcakes or Huevos Rancheros, to steak sambos, eggs Benny and a crispy duck salad. So grab yourself a spot in the sun, take your time over a glass of Prosecco or a Bellini or two, and check out the great food and atmosphere at Larry & Nora’s.
