Our Latest Great Place To Eat - Holland's

Tuesday 21 January 2014

Founded by Sylvester Holland in 1969 and still operated by the Holland family today, Holland’s began as a small local pub, but has been expanded frequently throughout the years providing todays customers with a spacious and welcoming environment in which to relax and unwind. Some eight years ago they also opened an attached off licence, stocking over 700 wines, 300 craft beers and a large choice of niche spirits as well as all your regular brands. It has quickly become a multi award winner racking up six “Leinster Off Licence of the Year” awards in a row.  They’ve also shifted their focus when it comes to food. My dining companion went for the smoked fish slider which was a tasty looking homemade mini smoked fish burger with dill and fennel mayonnaise. I on the other hand opted for Holland’s traditional chowder which was a delicious blend of smoked haddock, cod and salmon served with homemade brown bread.
