130 years of Hospitality at Renvyle House Hotel

Renvyle House Hotel reopens this week for a new season that will mark the historic property’s 130 years as a hotel. Renvyle, which has been the meeting place of poets, politicians and influencers for many years and where Yeats famously spent his honeymoon, first opened its doors to paying guests in 1883.

A Gourmet Weekend on 8th and 9th of March will celebrate 130 years of dining and hospitality at Renvyle as well as its most recent award – Good Food Ireland’s Culinary Haven of the Year. A drinks reception on Sat. 9th will precede a seven-course menu from chef Tim O’Sullivan with wines chosen by host Ronnie Counihan. The gourmet weekend will also see a food producers market in the hotel’s courtyard showcasing the quality ingredients supplied to Renvyle over the years from producers such as Finnerty's Butchers as well as Renvyle's own range of foods - apple & rosemary preserve, salad dressing, picnic chutney, red onion marmalade, sweet chilli sauce, marmalade - and baked breads.

Two nights B&B including drinks reception, dinner, entertainment and all facilities is €195pps. When not sampling the best of food and wine, guests can enjoy golf, clay pigeon shooting, the outdoor hot tub and a host of holistic therapies.
