Mark Cadden is not a newbie when it comes to the game of food for he and his siblings were brought up in the industry whilst their parents owned the well known Asgard Pub in Westport. His brother Paul also went into the food industry and owns the very popular Saba restaurant in Dublin. However, being brought up in the food industry doesn’t always mean the next generation get it right but the Cadden boys know what they are about and Mark has created a cracking Gastro Pub in Castlebar which is the place to go and eat and it has also won the Best Gastro Pub Mayo 2011 in the Restaurant Association of Ireland Awards – no mean feat as there is a lot of competition in Co. Mayo.
