Sunday lunch is a terrific tradition that we don’t indulge in often enough nowadays. Gone is the day when, every Sunday after Mass, the family gathered for the Mammy’s roast beef or chicken, a pile of roasties and hearty root vegetables. It wasn’t just about the food, it was having the family all sitting down together, exchanging the happenings of the week, even if the tetchy teenagers were itching to get off with their pals.
