Restaurant Review - Big Mike's

Restaurant openings tend to be like buses — they show up in multiples. Big Mike’s in Blackrock, Co Dublin, was among this autumn’s flurry of highly anticipated hotties, and perhaps Big Mike, or, more to the point, the ebullient Big Gaz, was surprised I wasn’t across the doorstep on his first night.
Another owner whose establishment I reviewed in the first week has been bleating to the effect that Gaz was lucky I wasn’t there in the first few days. In this whinger’s case, I had some critiques but also said a lot of positive things about his new venture, for which he actually thanked me in a DM.
