Dipping their toes into the Irish restaurant scene hasn’t always gone well for Britain’s celebrity chefs. Over the years, they’ve swanned into town trumpeting their own importance with hoo-ha and PR fanfare, only to slink away in quiet defeat soon after. Most of them just don’t get Ireland, or understand that we have our own great food scene, and we’re not so easily impressed.
