Restaurant Review - Oliveto

The sun was shining. The air was balmy. A cruise ship was back in the bay. Boats with perky sails from the Royal St George Yacht Club were gliding across the water. People were strolling the prom licking Teddy’s ice-creams, and Dublin’s riviera was shining at its very best.
Sitting high on the terrace of Oliveto restaurant at the Haddington House hotel in Dún Laoghaire, my friend Mary and I ruminated on how, in our grandmothers’ day, this entire seafront was made up of imposing Victorian hotels and guest houses catering for UK holidaymakers.
