In June 2019 — and that was another world for sure — I reported that all the little birdies of SoCoDu were twittering about the €1.6m renovation of the rather imposing Old Post Office on Blackrock’s Main Street.
However, the lavish, blue-coloured fit-out, reflecting the waters and stunning views out over Dublin Bay, couldn’t compensate for the fact that the restaurant’s main focus on expensive set dinners at €70, €90 and €120, with ingredients which didn’t match up to the prices, just didn’t cut it.
