All of our lives have been profoundly altered by the pandemic, be it financially, mentally, or through the tragic loss of family and friends. Unlike previous financial crises there was just nowhere to escape to because the rest of the world was in the same situation. There was no getting on the ‘mailboat’ of yore for London or jumping a plane to America or Australia.
Instead, many people have re-assessed their lifestyles. We only have one life to live, and the forced downtime led some to decide that they’re not going to live at that frenetic pre-Covid-19 pace again, choosing instead to follow their dreams, or at the very least tailor a better work-life balance.
