Bertie Ahern is a man who likes his grub, although he likes to keep himself trim and watches his diet. He certainly knew where to go when he was in Newry on his book signing tour for he chose the RED Brasserie & Wine Bar. RED is a rather clever name combining Relax Eat Drink – which is what we all want on a night out and there is no doubt but that they provide all the necessary elements at Newry.Padraic O’Kane will be known to many people through his involvement with Fire Restaurant at the Mansion House in Dublin. Newry is his adopted town and he was determined to bring something of Fire and its wood burning oven to the good people of Newry.
